Himalaya store
Initially, the store was built Himalayas as a cottage in Unirea hShopping Complex, 4th floor, ariapa Calarasi.
The hut was made by wood, has not been used nails, and the joints were made with tongue and groove. The store
construction has lasted three months, and was made by those who subsequently worked in the store.
Since from 1994, when I started this business, my priority was that the merchandise to be at the best quality and
the prices to be available for Romans. Of course it was and it is hard to please everyone - especially about price.
However, you should not overlook the fact that on the shelves of Himalaya store find the same quality equipment with
those from stores from Western countries, but much cheaper.
In 1998 I rented the current space and for 2 years I worked for it's arrangement and his subsoil that had
been left in a deplorable state. Thus on 1 February 2000 we opened the new store and after a year and a half,
we extended with a room of 60 m2 which contains all climbing things. The current shop's basement is made up
of three rooms, in the central part being the space of exhibition and ski apparel sales.
In 2003 we have expanded and we opened up a shop across the street, that now sells clothes and shoes from Mammut and
from several leading companies.
At this point we can say that we have our own street, the Himalaya street. These spaces represents approximately 700
m2 dedicated to the public. Each room of these spaces has its own warehouse. Besides these "small" buffer storage
spaces we have three large warehouses total surface of 700 m2. The number of employees in the Himalayas has reached
28 people.
As before we try to bring on the Romanian outdoor market the best brands in the world for promote and sell them at prices
appropriate for romanians pocket.
At present we believe that the Himalaya store is a place where you can equip both for a two-day trip in the Bucegi but and
for an expedition in the Himalayas. We proudly represent and distribute the best outdoor equipment companies in the world:
